Inspired by recent forest fires around the globe I wanted to depict the emotions I felt. The depth of colour and movement of the ink reflects the anger and yet awe I felt as I watched helplessly as nature rampaged through previously beautiful areas of the world.
This alcohol ink painting is a semi-abstract work depiction a fierce forest fire. The shapes and colours are what first interested me in this. It is 24x16 inches on 300gsm gloss paper and is sold mounted and framed.
